Overview

LeafTimer is a local-first application. All plant data, reminders, and care history are stored exclusively on your device. The developer does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data.

Data collected

LeafTimer does not collect any of the following:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or crash reports sent to the developer
  • Location data

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following data locally in the device's private storage, inaccessible to other apps:

  • Plant names, photos, and area assignments you create
  • Reminder schedules and care history
  • App settings and preferences

Google Drive backup (optional)

LeafTimer includes an optional backup feature that uses Google Drive. If you choose to enable it, the app will:

  • Ask you to sign in with your Google account
  • Upload a backup file to your personal Google Drive
  • Read that file only to restore it when you request it

The app only accesses the files it created — it cannot read the rest of your Drive. Your Google account information (name, email address, and profile photo) is displayed in-app for confirmation only and is not stored or transmitted elsewhere.

This feature is entirely opt-in, disabled by default, and can be turned off at any time. Google Drive access is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

LeafTimer schedules local notifications on your device to remind you of plant care tasks. These notifications are processed entirely on-device and no notification content is transmitted externally.

Camera and photo access

LeafTimer may request access to your camera and photo library to allow you to add plant photos. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded or shared.

No analytics, ads, or third-party tracking

LeafTimer contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking. No data is sent to any server controlled by the developer.

Children's privacy

LeafTimer does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
